RASP is based on the principles of Active Support and aims to promote independence and improvements in overall well- being. The purpose of this project will be to employ an enabling approach to support older people to regain the skills and confidence they may have lost as a result of poor health or because of having spent a period in hospital or residential care.
RASP will also work to prevent admissions to hospital where the clinical need can be managed at home.
What you need to know:
· Location: Belfast (North & East)
· Salary: £12.20ph
· Contract: Full Time hours – 35 hours per week minimum (additional hours available)
· Shift Times: Monday – Sunday (days, evenings & weekends up to 11pm)

What the role entails:
· To prepare for the return home to include basic shopping, collecting prescriptions and ensuring the home is sufficiently heated and comfortable.
· To actively encourage and work with the person to restore the confidence and skills they require for independent living in their own home
· To work with the person and restore skills in looking after their own personal care
· To carry out any other relevant duties which may be allocated from time to time
What We Need from You:
- At least 1 years paid experience in a caring role
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Full Driving licence and access to a car as part of the job requirements
