Total Support Worker

To support people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible by carrying out sitting/respite and household duties to facilitate independent living and enhance their overall quality of life.

What the role entails:

  • To provide support in a person-centred, caring, reliable and flexible manner based on individual need.
  • To assist people with day to day living tasks including housework and shopping.
  • To provide a sitting/respite service in order for carers/family to have time away from their direct caring responsibilities
  • To identify risks within the home and report these to the Service Co-ordinator
  • To complete the hours and tasks allocated by the Service Management Team
  • To report any changes in the Service User’s condition
  • To attend team meetings
  • To participate in supervision with Line Manager
  • To participate in a formal induction
  • To participate in training as required.
  • To register with NISCC and keep annual registration up to date
  • To work effectively and flexibly as part of a team

What We Need from You:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Access to transport or public transport in order to carry out the duties of the post
